Engineering
An Action Plan was
developed by the Engineering Industry Task Force as part of their
Report, Engineering Skills Shortages, in June 2001. The report
identified barriers to skills development and strategies aimed at
building a training culture.
In addition to identifying shortages in a range of
Engineering occupations, the Engineering Skills Shortages Report
identified the need for specific studies in the Aerospace and Marine industries.
A careers website (www.zoom.aigroup.asn.au)
and CD-ROM have been developed promoting the Engineering industry.
